Let's Talk Street Style: PFW, 2013

I've been feeling really bored and uninspired with my style lately but I'm hoping to glean some inspiration from this last batch of street style photos from Fall 2013 fashion month.  There are many colors, mixed patterns and so much all around cool-ness from the ladies that walked the tuileries of Paris last week, take a look!
Primary colors, and so.much.fur.

Red pants + graphic heels.

Pattern mixing up top, patterns and fur below.

Love to see J.Crew getting some street style play, I love this jacket + pant combo.

Let's finish on black, black is always good, always best, always stylish.
A menswear vibe is finished off perfectly, "Boy."

What did you think about the street styles this fashion month?  Love?  Hate?

Let's Talk Street Style: Paris, Spring 2013

Oui Paris... It's finally time to take a look at the sweet street style looks from the final week of fashion month, and it was a good one.
Light, neutral hues fit in perfectly with the dusty ground at les Tuileries.  This all white number is outrageously fab, and who wouldn't love Garance's take on dressing up her sweatshirt?
Julia Sarr Jamois had me at her hair, but the multi-color fur coat is truly the icing on the cake.

Kick up the dust ladies!  It's time to bid adieu to fashion week for now, which city was your fave?

The Dark & Light Of It

As evidenced by past posts, it's no secret that I have an affinity for two totally different types of decor styles, dark & cozy, or stark white all over.  This masterfully designed Paris apartment by Sarah Lavoine combines the two styles so effortlessly, I couldn't help but fall in love.

The dark details in the bedroom make this so interesting and cool.
The wood floors are stunning, you can tell they've been around for a while, but they're still so perfect.

Black floors in the kitchen are perfect paired with this emerald green table.
Painting the door and entry frames black give the rooms just that extra little bit of edge.  Can you imagine calling this place home, with that view from the office and Paris at your fingertips?

Sartorial Compass: Nicole Richie, B&W Best

In the first of Nicole's SC posts we saw her affinity for black and in today's installment she throws a lot of white into the mix.  Have a look!

Seriously obsessed with both of these looks.  Perfect for Paris {I'm pretty sure that's where she is on the left}, pulled together but still fun.  And honestly who doesn't love a B&W stripe?

Mira, Mira on the Wall

It's nothing new to note that Miroslava {Mira to me, as we're such besties} Duma is one of the most incredibly stylish women in the world at this time.  I've featured her in most, if not all of my fashion week street style round-ups, and she just keeps getting better and better.  Check her looks from the streets at the Fall 2012 couture shows...

She rocked so many amazing stripes!

BONUS, she wasn't the only person looking fierce on the streets of Paris...

Michelle Harper...crazy in the best way.

So fresh & so clean, clean.

Dreaming of a Getaway

There's not much I love more in life than exploring a new city.  New York satisfies that on a daily and weekly basis because there's always something new to see.  Sometimes though, it sounds nice to completely get away {I'm going home to Michigan in 2 weeeeeksss!}, these destinations sound a little spectacular too...

If you could go anywhere right now, where would it be?

Let's Talk Streetstyle: PFW '12

Here we are in Paris.  The final installment of fashion month's edition of "Let's Talk Streetstyle."  Nothing like a few killer style shots from the Parisian Tuilleries, where the detail shots are second to none.  Have a look, below, at a few of my favorites...

Love that the neon necklace makes two appearances in the collage above!  And the Givenchy rottweiler jacket in the upper left-hand is so perfect paired with chambray.
Bags, bags, bags...which is your favorite?  I'm leaning toward the pink Celine.
Miroslava is at it yet again, this time color-blocking like a pro!

Favorite looks from the fashion month of streetstyle?  There really is no better inspiration for getting dressed in the morning than taking a look at some of the most fearless players in the game.

Happy Wednesday, hope this helps you make it through!

2011 {First} Year in Review

This post will serve as a walk down memory lane, I had such a great summer in Charleston, SC and was able to incorporate so much of my surrounding environment.  I've also highlighted some of 2011's best trends.  Without further ado, here is my review of some favorite posts from Sartorial Roadmap's first year...

Residents of the Runway: Seriously Feminine was inspired by this perfect little house right down the street from my apartment.

Stripes + Stripes = Style Stars was inspired by this SS '11 trend, which also reminds me of a dress in this post!
I had A LOT of fun with my Oh Irene post, listing necessities for the incoming Hurricane...that ended up causing mayhem for a whole 10 minutes...
Jenny & I stopped by Sugar Bakeshop to celebrate 1,000 views on my blog!
This was definitely a favorite post, PJ's In Public highlighted the silk p.j. trends that were shown on runways around the world!
In September I prepared my Missoni x Target Shopping List and was able to score a few of my favorite things, but I'm still bitter about the socks!!
The Paris Market was definitely a highlight during my trip to Savannah, and obviously seeing this girl!
Design minded in every sense of the word, Jenna Lyon's just knows what she's doing, and that's why Lyon's Den is my favorite interior design-centric post.
Going to see My First Artprize in Grand Rapids was so fun, the above piece was one of my favorites!

Thanks for a great first year, I can't wait to dive into 2012!  I'm moving to New York in exactly 1 week and can't wait to see what the year brings!!
