Sartorial Compass: Michelle Willams, Shifty

The 60's inspired pixie cut that Michelle Williams has been rocking on and off for a while now, pairs perfectly with her love of the perfect shift dress.  Always easy going and simple, she looks effortlessly cool in each one.  

 In Victoria Beckham, Chloe and Erdem {I think}.  She wore the Chloe dress to the Independent Spirit Awards for Brokeback Mountain, I will never forget this dress, it is one of my favorite pieces of all time.

I'm a bit too attached to my hair to ever go full out with a pixie cut, but she sure does make me question that, if only for just a minute.

Sartorial Compass: Kate Bosworth, Short & Sweet

Kate Bosworth has been rocking red carpets since her Blue Crush days back in 2002, and one pattern that she can't seem to shake is her affinity for mini-dresses in solid hues and patterns alike.  With her bright blonde locks and graceful gams she can pull it off every time. 

The sweet white lace dress is by Erdem, the center two are by Proenza Schouler [obsessed] and the pink is Calvin Klein.

Patterns or solids (she has a thing for bubble gum) she knows how to work the look.  Her hair is always perfectly undone and she always finds a way to show off her limbs.  Which look is your fave?
