Sartorial Roundup: 2013 SAG Awards

And so awards season continued last night with the SAG Awards.  It's one of my favorites because of the amazing opening {My name is ___, and I am an actor}, and it always finishes up in exactly two hours.  In general I wasn't all that impressed with the looks this year, but there were still some stunners.
I thought that pretty much everything but the color was wrong on Claire Danes during the Golden Globes, but this dress is PERFECTION. I love how clean it is, yet modern with the dolman one sleeve and graphic pattern.  Love, love, love this Givenchy.

Sartorial Roundup: 2013 Golden Globes

After spending a few days at home with my family to celebrate the life of my Grandpa, I've come back refreshed and ready for the year to really begin.  This, of course, as silly as it seems means celebrating the beginning of the awards show season with the Golden Globes.

I was busy traveling back to the east coast while the pretty people in Hollywood were walking the red carpet, but I've finally gotten caught up and I certainly have a few opinions.  Please enjoy my commentary below...
Kerry Washington was perfect in Miu Miu, from sheer in all the right places to the length, to her sleek hair, this look is spot on.

Sartorial Roundup: 2012 Emmy's

This year's Emmy's have come and gone, and without access to E!'s red carpet coverage I didn't get to see a single gown until the show started.  As usual, there were many a sparkly dress, and as usual I hated most of them, these are the types of dresses I love.  Enjoy the roundup!

Ginnifer Goodwin came looking stunning in a coral gown by Monique Lhullier.
Leslie Mann looked amazing in Naeem Khan.
Julianne Moore STUNNED in a lemon hued Dior Couture gown.  I am so in love with this look.
For the first time in recent memory, Julianna Marguiles, wore something other than Narciso Rodriguez, and it worked for her.  Giambattista Valli jacquard looks lovely on you, J.
Tina finally redeemed herself after many past red carpets gone awry.  On Sunday she looked wonderful in Vivienne Westwood.
When I first saw this photo I had no idea who the girl was, but the dress hooked me.  Emilia Clarke of Game of Thrones chose a very different, very cool Chanel.
Last but not least, the adorable and hilarious, Zooey Deschanel, looked lovely in an ethereal Reem Acra dress that some described as a Cinderella moment.  The unfinished edges are what got me really excited, there's nothing better than a slightly imperfect gown.

What were your faves of the night?
