Pink + Pink = Perfection

 Perhaps one of the reasons I'm so drawn to pink these days is that I prefer to use it in a way that is ironic.  I know I've said it here before, but when I wear pink I typically add some kind of a tough element to the outfit to cool it up.  In the case of these photos, I think it's the sheer amount of pink overload that just makes me happy, and almost makes me laugh, it's so pink, so romantic that it's ridiculous.  But so gorgeously ridiculous.  Another reason I love this editorial, it was shot right in my backyard at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens.

Sugary Sweet

This may be the most outrageously creative and gorgeous editorials I've ever seen.  Shot by Will Cotton for New York Mag's Spring Fashion Issue, this photo shoot was sweet and magical but still really cool and kind of sultry.  The first time I looked through the editorial I may have audibly gasped {less rare in my life than you might think, but meaningful nonetheless}.

Dark Attitude, Bright Outlook

It took me a while in life to realize that wearing pink wasn't going to immediately kill me, so slowly, but surely, I began to rock various versions of the blush tones in real life.  However, to this day I'll never put a piece of pink clothing on without even just a little bit of black, a bit of edge.  This editorial Petra Magazine totally nails the dark attitude that comes with a wardrobe of all black, but shows that a bright and colorful personality is in there somewhere.

Goth Glamour in the Desert

Nina in Nature

I fell for Nina Porter during her runway debut for Burberry a few seasons, her coquettish look was perfect, and she became even more endearing when she fell on the runway multiple times, yet handled it like a total pro.  Here she is in the SCMP Style Magazine October issue styled by Simone Konu and photographed by Jeff Hahn.

 This whole look is so fantastic, pulled together yet casual and comfortable.

Flower to the 10th Power

 Mixed prints and psychedelic backdrops punctuate this spread from the April issue of Material Girl Magazine.  There's so much going on, but it never feels hectic, the prints somehow fit perfectly together.  

 Love giant poms in the hair too...always a good look.
